The extra money generated from the sale is called <strong>overbids<\/strong>, <strong>overages<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"208\" data-end=\"227\">excess proceeds<\/strong> or <strong data-start=\"231\" data-end=\"248\">surplus funds\u00a0<\/strong>and it is due back to the property owner who just lost their home.
